The Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, Dr. Omphile Marupi, emphasized the importance of ethical reporting in public procurement during a recent workshop organized by the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ).
Dr. Marupi highlighted the critical role of the media in promoting transparency and accountability in public procurement, stating that accurate reporting can strengthen transparency, combat corruption, and inform the public.
The workshop aimed to equip journalists with the knowledge and tools to report accurately on public procurement matters, including the Electronic Government Procurement (eGP) System and sustainable procurement practices.
